SUMMARY:Committee on Enforced Disappearances (CED) 31
DESCRIPTION:The Committee on Enforced Disappearances (CED) is currently scheduled to hold its 31st session from 14 – 24 September 2026 (dates to be confirmed). During this session\, the Committee will hold constructive dialogues with Armenia\, Belize\, Gabon\, and Lesotho\, and will adopt lists of priority themes for Colombia\, Cuba\, Italy\, and Paraguay. Dialogues between the Committee and States Parties under review are public. All those interested are welcome to attend these dialogues and all other public meetings as observers\, without the possibility to take the floor. Prior registration through the Indico system is required for in-person attendance. Public meetings may also be viewed online via UN WebTV. \nPrivate oral briefings may also be scheduled between civil society actors and/or NHRIs ahead of the dialogue. The Committee’s Note for Civil Society Actors and NHRIs provides further details on how to request these.  \nPlease note that several of the treaty body webpages currently warn that “due to the United Nations Regular Budget Liquidity Situation\,” the agenda\, dates and modality of treaty body sessions may be subject to change.
