Call for Input, UN SR on the sale, sexual exploitation and sexual abuse of children

The UN Special Rapporteur on the sale, sexual exploitation and sexual abuse of children has issued a call for input to inform her first report to the UN General Assembly setting forth her strategic vision and priorities for the implementation of the mandate over the course of her term.

The Special Rapporteur seeks to identify specific aspects within the broad scope of the mandate that warrant prioritized focus over the coming years. In particular, she is interested in understanding:

  • issues that remain under-examined or insufficiently addressed by existing efforts;
  • challenges that are complex or rapidly evolving, including those linked to intersecting global crises and technological developments; and
  • opportunities to strengthen implementation, coordination and impact across different sectors and contexts.
